Roy Disney's new website, savedisney.com. He seriously needs a web designer, though.
(UPDATE 05/18/04: Since I wrote this post, the design of Save Disney improved greatly -- but there doesn't seem to be an archived version to compare the old with the new.)

The Financial Times reports:
"Two businessmen instrumental in setting up New Bridge Strategies, a well-connected Washington firm designed to help clients win contracts in Iraq, have previously used an association with the younger brother of President George W. Bush to seek business in the Middle East. John Howland [!], the company president, and Jamal Daniel, a principal, have maintained an important business relationship with Neil Bush stretching back several years. In Mr Daniel's case, the relationship spans more than a decade, with his French office arranging a trip for Mr Bush's family to Disneyland Paris in 1992, while his father, George H.W.Bush, was president."

According to Wikipedia, "One sequence in the cartoon [The Three Little Pigs], which showed the Big Bad Wolf dressing up as a caricature of a Jewish lady, was excised from the film after its release and replaced with a less offensive sequence, with the Wolf pretending to be the Fuller Brush man instead." Another source claims "This short was remade in 1941 for the National Film Board of Canada as an advertisement to support the war effort and entitled "The Thrifty Pig." In order to make the metaphor apparent, the Big Bad Wolf was shown wearing a Nazi armband, and all the bricks in Practical Pig's house (including the piano) were made from Canadian War Bonds." But this second source also claims that the wolf wore a "Jewish caricature mask" and 'sounded Jewish' in earlier versions which have since been edited. I've been skeptical of the Jewish caicature Wolf stories in the past. Not so much now.

Can't get enough Disney lawsuit art? Try these fine examples from Wally Wood, Bill Barminski, Andrew J. Epstein and Ashley Holt - all conveniently located at illegal-art.org.
I wrote a rather long Wikipedia entry on Dan O'Neill today. O'Neill was an underground cartoonist who was sued by Disney in the 1970s for infringing on Mickey Mouse's copyright. While researching, I came across this irony on O'Neill's Odd Bodkins website:
"Q: Can I use some of your art for my school project, company letterhead, website, etc...."
"A: ...and to that we say.... no."
